Virtual Auction Benefiting the Freedom Restoration Project | Catch My Job

FREEDOM, Maine (WABI) – What do these items have in common: a waterfront getaway in Bar Harbor, an autographed book by Erin French of The Lost Kitchen, and a stamp collection.

They are available for auction in a virtual auction.

The annual fundraising event benefiting the Liberty Community Historical Society begins on Sunday.

The proceeds will go towards the Keen Hall restoration project, which has been in operation for several years.

Recently there has been a noticeable exterior upgrade.

Wilson Hess, president of the Historical Society, said they still needed about a quarter of a million dollars to get everything done.

“It will be more than a historical memento. will be a community center It will be a place where a small town Our 704 souls all said they could come together, have work, have meetings, have coffee together. Keep the records of our city,” Hess said.
