LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) – SWLA’s Arts and Humanities Council announces its 2nd Annual Holiday Art Walk.
The Art Walk will be held in downtown Lake Charles on Saturday, November 26 from 11 am to 3 pm.
The event will feature more than 40 art vendors in an open market along Ryan St. and Broad St. downtown.
The Downtown Business Association will feature window painting on businesses along Broad and Ryan. And there will be a food truck area next to Barbers on Broad.
The central performing area at the intersection of Broad and Ryan Streets will feature holiday acoustic sets from dance studios, theater groups and area musicians.
The event will also host a beer garden, hot chocolate stand and children’s activities.
After the Holiday Art Walk ends, participants can head to the Lake Charles Arcade Amphitheater next to the Civic Center for the “Light Up the Lake” celebration. The Lakefront Christmas Concert will begin at 3:30 p.m., followed by a lighting ceremony and ending with fireworks over the lake.
This year’s featured artists and performers include, but are not limited to:
- Marc Portier and Sophia Tassin
- Morgan Allen
- Danisha Davis
- Jason Sprick
- No supervision dance studio
