Darren Bennett joins Baldwin Projects as Senior Director of Sales.

Contemporary art gallery in London Baldwin Projects has appointed Darren Bennett as Senior Director of Sales to expand the business.
The 48-year-old joining from DeMontfort Fine Art, where he worked as a senior manager for 10 years, will oversee the expansion of the sales and programming team for emerging artists.
Bennett said: “This role will allow me to use my skills, passion and knowledge to grow my business internationally recognized and respected in the arts.”
Baldwin Projects was founded by Adam Baldwin in 2018 and specializes in contemporary art from artists such as Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst, David Hockney, Yayoi Kusama, Bridget Riley, Keith Haring and KAWS.
An online exhibition called After Andy is currently running, featuring artwork inspired by the Warhol impact and the pop art movement of the 1960s. It is open until November 10 and can be viewed at baldwinprojects.com
Graham Budd Auction
Graham Budd Auctions has hired David Convery.
Graham Budd Auctions has hired David Convery and John Garrett as part of the Sporting Memorabilia team. Convery has 34 years of experience in the auction world and is head of sports memorabilia at Christie’s.
He joins as head of sports memorabilia/collections at Graham Budd.
Garrett, who spent 25 years at Sheffield United Football Club, joined as a senior assessor.

Chairman Graham Budd said: “Their combined experience of nearly 60 years, coupled with their exceptional expertise, will enhance the team’s existing knowledge.”
The company was recently sold by Budd to a syndicate led by businessman Tim Murphy as part of the deal. Adam Gascoigne, a sports conservative executive and sports framer, is now CEO.
Graham Budd, the former director of Sotheby’s, who founded the sports memorabilia expert 18 years ago, remains chairman.

Richard Hughes joins Rogers Jones & Co.
Richard Hughes has joined Rogers Jones & Co as a regional bidder and appraiser for its North Wales operations. Formerly Wingetts in Wrexham, Hughes has over 30 years of experience in North Wales auctions.
Ben Rogers Jones said: “Richard is our fifth regional appraiser for Wales… We now have local appraisers in each corner of the country. which is a reflection of our continued growth.”

Deputy Director Ben Winterton said: “We are delighted to realize our long-term dream for a new location in Burton and the Market Hall is a great place for our pop-up valuation.”
This new unit is the family company’s third plant in Staffordshire. Together with its headquarters at the Lichfield Auction Center, Fradley Park and the Tamworth Auction Room, which opened in October 2021.
