One of our favorite hobbies is antique shopping. There is nothing more fun than searching for treasures in an antique store or thrift store. You never know what you’ll find, and a store with a large selection will almost feel like visiting a museum! The next time you’re looking for vintage furniture, clothing, or decor, look no further than Georgia’s antique capital, Monroe. This small town boasts a population of around 16,000 and has a number of fantastic thrift and antique shops, perfect for researching anything. Here are some of our favorite places to shop for antiques:

FISH (Faith In Serving Humanity) is a thrift store and not an antique store, but there’s a lot to see at the Monroe branch. Lots of clothes and furniture, plus special half-price days, so it’s hard to walk out empty-handed!

The Cotton Depot is an antique mall located in an old mill. There are plenty of stalls specializing in everything from wedding decor to locally produced artwork and of course antiques.
