The million dollar auction presented by Discover Estevan and Estevan Mercury is back. with a wide range of bidders from local sponsors.
60 hopeful bidders register at the door, hoping to be among the people who will claim one of the 18 at the auction.
As well, this year’s raffle is set up for those who can’t get items at auction or don’t have enough money, with 11 items to win.
The whole scene was chaotic, with Rock 106 anchor Dan Espelien MCing and Blaine Molstad running the auction.
Hundreds of thousands of dollars in bids tonight, with a peak of $29,000 for the Kincord Midnight Rocker Recliner from Room By Room Furniture.
Estevan Hannah Battersby’s Golden West and Homefield sales manager said the work was going well.
“The million dollar auction is going well. I think everyone is very excited that we have a good performance this year, a lot of great awards and everyone is going home happy. That’s all we could ask for.”
Pat Pasloski, Estevan Mercury’s sales manager, said the event was held next year because the auction saw Estevan meet again.
I think that will be what the community needs. And it brings everyone together in a common area. And I think it’s exciting.”
