Media reaction to the Seahawks’ 37-23 win over the Los Angeles Chargers | Catch My Job

Seattle returns home to Lumen Field on Sunday to face the 6-1 New York Giants. After beating the Chargers, quarterback Geno Smith will face another former team in Week 8.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll took the podium at SoFi Stadium to discuss the road win.

“I really liked this today,” Carroll said. “I like the way we played. I thought we felt it in all three phases. We were humming and guys were running and hitting the way we wanted to. It was a really physical game. It was nice to see an offense that can get down down the field and put some points on the board and the defense was slowing down. Other than the turnovers that screwed us up, we had a really solid football game. Anytime we can get out there and throw the ball for the beam, 160-something [yards], and take care of the football like Geno did throwing it, 20-of-27, really efficient stuff, and then play defense to complement it. We know we will be good in teams. It just fits well. To do it two weeks in a row, we made more progress in this game. I think, all around, our guys are doing well. They can feel it. They can sense their defenses. They can feel what they are doing and how they fit. This can happen when you start moving. I’m really excited about it and I’m looking forward to running it again next week.”
