Olive Branch and Laurel Crown — veterans of the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company (CSC) — are reviving their original play To Be a Soldier, which was previously performed to great acclaim at the International Shakespeare Theater Association’s annual convention and at CSC in January. In Baltimore, March.

To Be A Soldier depicts the universal reality of war faced throughout human history. Reveals and examines the five acts of the play: the political events that lead to war, alliances and betrayals, life and death on the battlefield, the plight of prisoners of war, and the return to regular post-war life and society.
