Freddie Mercury’s 1974 silver Rolls-Royce is up for auction. | Catch My Job


Fans of classic cars and rock and roll history await at the upcoming RM Sotheby’s London. Among the offers at auction include a 1974 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, originally owned by Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury.

The rock star owned it from 1979 until his death. In 1991, the car was sold since it left the factory. It is finished in Silver Chalice on the outside, blue on the inside. Under the hood, the 6.75-liter V8 engine produces 189 hp (141 kW/192 PS) when new, moving passengers along.

While the singer never received a driver’s license, this Silver Shadow is a personal form of transport driven by a driver.

RM Sotheby’s offered no reservations on November 5. All proceeds from the sale of this 1974 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow will go to the Superhumans Center, a charity set up to provide assistance in Ukraine.
