Wood County Auditor Matthew Oestreich will hold the sale of the confiscated land on November 30 at 10 a.m. in a courtroom on the 5th floor of the One Courthouse Square County Sheriff’s Office building.
The sale will be a public auction and the property, which is offered for sale due to non-payment of taxes, will be sold to the highest bidder. Each property is forfeited to the state after not being sold in a sheriff sale.
“It is my intention to sell all existing assets. so that they can return to take effective advantage of Wood County taxation,” Oestreich said.

These properties are located in 11 different tax districts in the following counties:
Bradner, Bowling Green, Freedom Township, Lake Township, North Baltimore, Northwood, Perrysburg, Perrysburg Township, Plain Township, Walbridge, and Weston.
There are four parcels and 11 manufactured homes for sale as of today. The parcel will be removed from the list.
Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. at the courtroom on the 5th floor. Interested parties should inquire in advance to ensure the location of the property. The winning bidder will receive an auditor’s deed for each parcel at the purchase price plus $5.50 deed and transfer fee. For manufactured homes, there is a $5.50 certificate sales fee plus a $21 title fee.
Winning bidders will not be liable for unpaid real estate taxes on parcels purchased. And will receive a tax invoice for the first half of 2022 tax payments due in February 2023.
